Here's How to Recertify for the Illinois CNA Using Test Prep, Tutoring and the Skills Evaluation

Life happens.  You go through the CNA class, take your test, and embark on your career.  Then, BAM! something happens and you have to stop working, or take a different job (not in the field), do private duty, etc and before you know it, 2 years have passed and your certificate has gone inactive.

You need to recertify for a job or  to get into nursing school, so, here are some steps:

1. Schedule a 1-on-1 tutoring review of the CNA skills with Generations.

2. Purchase the CNA Refresher course to help prepare for the exam. You can also get a $40 discount on the Manual Skills Evaluation if you schedule through Generations.

3. Review the Performance Skills Videos at nurseaidetesting.com.

4. When you are practiced up and confident, make an appointment with the Approved Manual Skills Evaluator. Terri at Generations is the only Illinois approved Manual Skills Evaluator in Central Illinois.

5. Show up for the above mentioned appointment. This may seem like a no-brainer, but, well, this happens a lot. Be sure to take the investment in yourself seriously and get ahead by following the steps.

6. When you successfully complete your evaluation, nurseaidetesting.com will be notified and you will receive an email saying you can now go online and purchase a seat for the exam.

7. Keep this appointment as well. Yes, it happens.

Once you pass the exam, you are back in business!

Remember this is an investment in yourself, your future, and the people you love and care for. It is worth it, and the earnings potential covers the cost of these investments very quickly. It's all about your success!
